The License to Preach is a form of Lay minister authority.   The Lay minister is often a person that fills in when the Minister is unavailable for additional services.

Often someone that is working to Be a Preacher and is acting as a Pastoral Assistant in leading smaller groups as a Prayer Partner. With a License to Preach the Lay minister aids in Communion, Baptisms and other Sacerdotal duties as the Minister's assistant. A Lay Minister may perform Baptisms.

The License to Preach Certificate or License to Preach Credential is a step on your journey to being a Minister.
